My Story

Hey I’m Audrey! I'm glad you've stopped by my blog.

When I think of "small town", I think of drive-in movies, weekend garage sales, camping in the mountains,  and fresh baked cookies. I think of my childhood that was spent playing in open meadows, bottle-feeding baby animals, chasing chickens and naps in the grass. Growing up in Montana my heart craves these simple joys in life!

The love of my life and hubby Matthew
So other than growing up in a small town, here's a little of my story. Now that I’m in my twenties and live in Boise, I try to bring the heart of small town to this bigger city. This is not only for a peace of mind, but a peace of heart. So often I get caught up in the busyness of life that I forget what truly matters. One of my favorite quotes is "Our greatest fear in life should not be of failure, but of succeeding at something that doesn't really matter". In college I found out I couldn't live another day without Jesus as my best friend and since then my life has been forever changed. I want to live a life where I'm investing in others and truly making a difference— I want to live outside of the box.

My love of the outdoors, beautiful lighting and people, found me my passion of photography. I started Raft Media in November of 2010 and am in hog-heaven. I love, LOVE, love what I do. Ever since I took my first photo at sunset with that golden light pouring over tall grass I was hooked.

June of 2011 I married my very best friend. Matthew, a small town Kansas guy, and he stole my heart. Making him mine was one of my best ideas yet!

Mr. Gus grew up so fast!
March of 2013 we decided to take the plunge and get a little fur-baby named Gus. He is naughty, hilarious, a snuggler and I'm officially a dog person. I get it now people, dogs are man's best friend.

We are expecting our first baby the end of November 2013 and are beyond excited. And nervous. Did I mention we're excited? I can't wait to share this journey into motherhood with ya'll!

So this is my life. My friends call me Audge, my brother calls me Dilly (from being a "dilly-dallyer") and I'm just an everyday small town girl, photographer, wife and soon to be mama.  I hope you follow along on my journey of everyday life, enjoying the simple things and truly desiring to make a difference.
